Tactical Shooter

Fun with Guns!

Tactical Shooter is a first-person shooter game that prioritizes fast-paced, arcade-style gameplay over realism. Players have access to a variety of weapons and abilities that are designed to be fun and entertaining, rather than strictly realistic. The game was inspired by Urban Terror, a free to play mod of the Quake 3 engine, we hope our game will be as fun and develop such a dedicated following.

Most shooter games are 2 dimensional, like playing on a paper. Tactical Shooter literally ‘elevates’ gameplay to a new level by allowing players to climb up onto anything they can reach allowing players on top of buildings and other obstacles. We also feature ‘sliding’ which allows you to move into an area quickly.

Game Modes:

  • Team Deathmatch: Two teams face off against each other in a race to get the most kills before time runs out. Players respawn after being eliminated, and the team with the most kills at the end of the game wins.
  • Free-for-All: Every player fights against each other in a chaotic free-for-all. The player with the most kills at the end of the game wins.
  • Capture the Flag: Two teams compete to capture each other’s flag and bring it back to their own base. The team with the most captures at the end of the game wins.
  • Bomb: One team is tasked with planting a bomb at a designated location, while the other team attempts to defend against the attack. The roles switch after each round, and the team that wins the most rounds at the end of the game wins.
  • Sector Control: In this game mode, teams compete to capture and control a series of sectors located throughout the map. Each sector is initially neutral, but can be captured by standing within its boundaries. Once a team captures a sector, they must defend it from enemy attacks while trying to capture additional sectors. The team that controls the most sectors at the end of the game wins.
  • Confirmed Kill: In this game mode, players must confirm each kill they make by collecting a dog tag dropped by the defeated player. The team with the most confirmed kills at the end of the game wins. This mode adds an extra layer of strategy and risk/reward to the standard Team Deathmatch gameplay, as players must weigh the risk of exposing themselves to confirm a kill against the potential reward of scoring an extra point for their team.

The maps are designed to be a fun and exciting environment for players to navigate. It features a mix of indoor and outdoor areas, including tight corridors, open spaces, and multiple levels. The maps are filled with obstacles, hazards, and power-ups that can help or hinder players, depending on how they’re used.

Some of the key features of the maps include:

Overall, Tactical Shooter is a fun and exciting first-person shooter game that offers a variety of game modes and a map designed to keep players engaged and entertained. Its emphasis on fast-paced, arcade-style gameplay makes it a great choice for gamers who are looking for a fun and exciting shooter experience.

ULTIMATE Strategy

I find the World War 2 naval battles were the epitome of strategy. Limited fuel and range, limited information, time and distance considerations and the oceans are a 2D battlefield. If you appreciate tactics, planning and surprises, I recommend studying the naval campaigns on both the US and Japanese sides.

Our game hopes to recreate this type of strategy and extend it to a 2d dimensional gameworld of space, just assume all stars are on the same plane just like a map. Space is a good substitute for the ocean. You have vast emptiness with small islands. The continents are replicated with groups of stars. Yes, this has been done before so why is our game different? Becuase we are using “real time”, battles will last an entire day, travel will take days or weeks, you will have ample time to react to information and events and plan a strategy not just click buttons faster than your opponents.
